DEMpower Labs was founded in 2023 by Kim Allen and Rose Clouston to build long-term voter protection infrastructure that makes voting easier and engages volunteers & voters.

Kim Allen
Kim is an Atlanta-based voting rights activist with over a decade of experience in complex commercial litigation and civil rights advocacy. During the 2020 cycle, Kim was part of the leadership of the voter protection team at the Democratic Party of Georgia. Since then, Kim has advocated for sustained investments in voter protection at state Democratic parties. Previously, Kim was a Special Counsel at Covington & Burling LLP.

Rose has worked and volunteered with partisan and nonpartisan voter protection efforts since her first political campaign in Florida in 2004. Prior to starting DEMpower, she served as the Voter Protection Director for the Texas Democratic Party from 2020-2022, where she oversaw the state’s year-round voter protection program. Previously, she was the Director of Online Trainings at the National Democratic Training Committee and a National Coordinator at the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights from 2014-2016 where she ran the national, non-partisan 866-OUR-VOTE hotline and supported voter protection efforts in Florida, Pennsylvania, Illinois, New York, and Minnesota. She's based in Philadelphia.
